Teri Bordenave has worked in the nonprofit sector in a variety of senior leadership roles, as a consultant, and trainer. Teri’s experience as a trustee on local, regional, and national governing boards, plus her more than 20 years as a non-profit CEO and as an experienced Interim Executive, gives her a unique perspective.
Throughout her career, Teri has been a successful change agent. She is a founding partner of the consulting firm The Thalia Group, LLC. Her organizational development expertise includes leadership transition, strategic planning, leadership development/executive & Board Chair coaching, effective nonprofit governance, and change management. In 2010 Teri founded, and continues to facilitate, a quarterly roundtable for nonprofit Board Chairs on Maryland’s eastern shore.
Teri holds a Masters of Human Services Administration from Antioch University New England where she focused on organizational development, consulting, and training and she is a BoardSource Certified Nonprofit Board Consultant. She is a member of the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits Consultant Resource Bank and Maryland Nonprofits. Teri is a member of the NHPR Community Advisory Board and she chairs the Governance Committee for The Colonial Theatre, an arts and culture organization in northern New Hampshire.
In her role as a member of the Nelson A. Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy Nonprofit Executive Roundtable Leadership Team, Teri co-authored the 2006 case study entitled, High Tech Growth and Community Well-Being: Lessons Learned from Austin, Texas. She has also contributed to several publications on nonprofit governance, leadership, and management.
