Peter Szabo is Founder and Principal of Bloomingdale Management Advisors, LLC, a management consultancy that helps nonprofits and foundations translate their aspirations into action. Peter’s focus is program and impact – helping leaders understand their operating environment, craft effective strategies, plan and implement new initiatives, evaluate performance, and manage change.
In addition to twenty-five years advising leaders in the social sector, Peter’s management experience helping run a large state agency and founding and building a grassroots nonprofit helps inform his pragmatic approach to management and strategy. He brings to his work critical thinking, sensitivity to group and system dynamics, and deep personal commitment to partnership.
Peter earned a B.A. in History and Political Science from the University of Rochester in 1985. He holds a Master’s in Public and Private Management from the Yale School of Management and an M.A. in International Affairs from Yale University. He has presented at national and international conferences, and has written extensively on strategy, organization, evaluation, and other topics.
