
Alison Davis Curry has served in three interim executive roles. As Interim CEO of Storefront Academy Charter Schools, Alison recovered enrollment, cost-savings and beneficial financial structures that improved the organizations finances $4M, (from $10M historically, to a dip of $7M when she entered, to $11M) created financial protocols, a performance management system, and relocated the Harlem schoolhouse to a beautiful 1903 brick schoolhouse in a residential tree-lined block, in 13 months, 2022 – 2023.
In 2024, Alison helped to establish a non-profit to protect the rights of lawyers, bringing structure and financial opportunity, so the organization could bring in an ED with subject matter expertise.
As Interim ED of The Art Director’s Club, a member organization promoting excellence in advertising, design and communication, where she began and ran the development department 1996 – 2003, she returned in 2010 to revitalize funding.
In a consulting capacity Alison has a led a team to develop audience, engagement, and funding for many clients, including Boys Hope Girls Hope and Madison Boys & Girls Clubs.
Alison has taken the Third Sector and Support Center training for Interim Executives, Fordham’s Nonprofit Leadership and Social Advocacy, and earned a Nonprofit Executive Director Certificate from Career Learning. A life-long learner, in the last decade, Alison has participated in altMBA, Next MBA for Executive Directors, Annie Duke’s Decision-Making Course, and Kathleen Valentine’s Negotiating Course, along with pursing a degree as a Water Sommelier and ongoing art history courses.
Alison served as Board Chair for Hunger Free America as it augmented direct service in New York City with national policy. As executive director of NYDG Foundation, she transitioned the organization from disaster relief, to improve medical wellness in underserved populations. As board member of Haiti Cardiac Alliance, she ran their re-brand and communications. As Director of Client Services for OBERLAND, she helped launch a cause marketing firm. As the Executive Director / Director of Development for The Art Directors Club, she leveraged the ADC’s reputation for excellence and network to bring products to market for Adobe, Getty Images, Eastman Kodak, and YouTube.
Alison’s favorite role is mother of two wonderful young ladies and walking mate of a mixed hound. She lives in New York City.
