John Lewis offers more than 20 years of executive experience in nonprofit/association management, strategy, communications, public affairs, alliance development, and marketing. He is a graduate of The Interim Executives Academy (Third Sector) and is a Certified Interim Executive by Armstrong McGuire. As an independent nonprofit management consultant and Executive Director, John has earned a reputation for being a builder, fixer, turnaround specialist, and professional communicator. John has served as Interim Executive Director for the American Council of Academic Physical Therapy (ACAPT) and the Western Carolina Medical Society (WCMS). Previously, for three years he led Heart Valve Voice US, a patient advocacy organization. He also has 8 years of experience directing communications, alliance development, advocacy and policy development for a global trade association focused on medical research.
John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Duquesne University and a Master of Arts in Communication from American University. He resides in Williamsburg, VA.
