Kevin is an experienced CEO and Executive Director with 30 years experience leading social impact organizations and a deep, broad skill set. In this time of racial reckoning and intergenerational turnover in nonprofit leadership, he doesn’t feel it is appropriate for him (a straight, white, educated, U.S-born, healthy, abled, cisgendered male of a certain age) to take up a permanent ED or CEO seat any longer. The moment for transferring power is long-overdue.
His personal mission as a serial Interim Executive Director is to use the skills he has honed over three decades of social impact leadership to help organizations transition to diverse, strong new leaders.
Kevin is compassionate, sure-footed, a quick study, decisive, humane, and has seen a lot. He has been specifically trained in interim executive leadership, which requires a markedly different toolbox and mindset than permanent roles.
The modern-day interim executive leader is prepared to temporarily relocate for the best opportunities, while forward-thinking organizations are looking beyond their immediate regions to attract the best leaders. Kevin calls Minneapolis home, and has relocated to Milwaukee and St. Cloud for Interim ED assignments. He’s very open to hanging his hat in the DC Metro area or elsewhere for the right opportunity to make a difference.
