Interim Executive Opportunities, Training, and Support
The Interim Executive Network provides referrals, peer networking, and training opportunities for its members. Members contribute modest annual dues to support the work of IEN, but we do not charge any referral fees to the organizations we work with or to our members.

Joining Our Network
For those interested in joining our membership list and being notified of interim executive opportunities, we require substantial experience as an executive director and/or interim executive, as well as meeting certain requirements related to our professional standards. Please click here (requirements document attached) to get the full list of requirements.
Please note the following related to joining:
- Membership dues are currently $750
- Members agree to contribute 2.5% engagement fee based on the total 6-month salary.
In addition, IEN Members agree to:
- Pledge never to accept the regular ED/CEO position with a nonprofit that you are serving as interim ED/CEO.
- Barring extenuating circumstances, IEN Members commit to remain in position with the nonprofit until the next regular ED/CEO is hired and onboarded.
- Commit to attending three annual IEN member meetings.(If a member misses more than 1 meeting per year, except for reason of illness or vacation, that member will not receive IEN’s postings of available interim engagements.)
- Commit to participate in one IEN committee – or pay higher fees to opt out of volunteering. Committees include Marketing, Professional Development and New Member Review.
